The Poppy House features four individually designed en-suite bedrooms, each offering a comfortable and relaxing retreat. Every room includes a private bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, providing everything you need for a restful stay.
Now proudly owned and managed by The Castle Hotel, The Poppy House complements the hotel’s collection of thirteen guest bedrooms and two self-catering cottages. Guests staying at The Poppy House can enjoy the same warm hospitality and are invited to dine at The Castle Hotel, just a short stroll around the corner. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all available, showcasing locally sourced ingredients and seasonal menus in a welcoming atmosphere.
We know that holidays are even better when the whole family can come along, which is why both The Poppy House and The Castle Hotel are proudly dog friendly. Well-behaved dogs stay free of charge, making it easy to enjoy the spectacular walking routes and countryside that surround Bishop’s Castle.
The ground floor of The Poppy House is also home to an exciting venture. Henry and Bex, owners of The Castle Hotel, are currently working hard to re-open the tearoom in the coming months. The café will offer freshly prepared food, homemade cakes, quality coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere where both visitors and locals can meet, unwind, and enjoy the best of local hospitality.
